Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This privacy policy applies to SSSx (the Android game) and the website jabronis.app, published by Jabronis Games.
The "Career Ski" mode works completely offline with no login required. The information below applies only when you use online features like Course World, Film Shack, in-game tickets, or the bug reporter.
What We Collect
- Username. The name you choose in the game. If you sign in with Google Play Games, the text box is pre-filled with your Play Games gamer tag (your public alias, not your real Google name). You can change this, and nothing is saved until you tap "Create." This is not a real-name account. The game does not ask for your email address or profile picture.
- Account IDs. If you sign in with Google, we receive a Google account ID and an ID token so your username, tickets, and progress can follow you to a new device. We store a hash of that ID, not the ID itself. The game also makes a random key on your phone and sends it with posts and deletes, so the server can check that the request comes from the phone that owns the username. It is not an advertising ID. After you sign in, that check can use a hash of your Google account ID instead of the random key.
- Purchases. Purchases are paused during the beta. When the shop is on, Google Play handles payment. We never see your card. We only receive a Play purchase token to check the purchase with Google and to remember which tickets you own.
- Gameplay Data. Once you have a username, we collect data on your plays, clears, times, points, star ratings, and the riders you follow.
- User-Generated Content. Courses, course names and descriptions, comments, replays (films), and any reports you submit about someone else's posts.
- Bug Reports. Collected only if you choose to send one. The report includes the note you type, a short trail of recent screens and taps, a screenshot of the game, the course name, your username, and the app version. It also includes the phone's manufacturer and model, Android version and SDK level, screen width, height, density, and dpi, landscape or portrait, phone or tablet, locale, version name, version code, and whether you are signed in or a guest. It does not include an advertising ID, an Android ID, or a Play Games player ID. Reports are kept for 90 days, and we store at most the 80 newest. Deleting your account hides yours immediately.
- Deletion Requests. Collected only if you use the form at jabronis.app/delete: the username, contact email, and optional note you type. We use them only to reply to you and to carry out the request.
- Moderation Records. If we mute or ban a username for breaking the rules, we keep that username, the length of the mute or ban, and the reason we wrote, so it can be shown to you and enforced.
- Shared Clips. If you tap "Share" on a run that is not yet online, the game will ask for permission before posting that film (the replay, a still picture, and your username) to Course World so the sharing link works. Nothing is posted until you confirm by tapping "Share."
- Private Replay Backups. When signed in, replays you save to "My Replays" are privately backed up to your Google account (up to your 40 newest replays) so they can be restored if you reinstall the game or switch devices. No one else can see them, and they are permanently removed when you delete your account.
- Best Runs on Course World. When you set a best time or best score on a Course World course while using a username, the game uploads a recording of that run (motion data, not video), along with your time, score, username, and the gear you were wearing. Each course retains one best-time run and one best-score run to verify fair play. We keep these until someone beats your record, at which point the new run replaces the old one. These runs are also deleted if the course is deleted or if you delete your account.
- Server Records. Our host keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, and requested address). We use your IP address strictly to prevent abuse and spam.
What we do not collect: We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone data, files, calendar, messages, or the list of apps on your phone. SSSx has no ads, no advertising id, and no ad personalization. Usage stats and crash reports are described in the next section.
Usage Stats and Crash Reports
The Play build of SSSx uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. Google processes this data for us. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Usage stats. We log gameplay and app usage: screens you open, tutorial progress, level clears, course posts, plays, and votes, replay saves, and whether Play Games sign-in succeeded, failed, or stayed a guest. Those events do not include your username, comment text, or a player ID. Google Analytics also receives your device model, operating system, and country from a masked IP address. When analytics storage is on, Analytics uses a Firebase app-instance ID. A Firebase installation ID is used for analytics and crash reporting. The advertising ID is not collected. SSSx has no ads. Events are kept for 14 months.
- Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics collects a report when the game closes unexpectedly: the stack trace, device model, operating system, app version, the Firebase installation ID, and a Crashlytics installation ID. A report does not include your username, your Google account, or anything you typed. Crashlytics keeps reports for 90 days.
Players in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland see Google's consent form. Analytics storage is turned on outside those places, and in those places only after you agree. Otherwise analytics storage stays off, and the app-instance ID is not attached. Ad storage is always off.
What Other Players Can See
Other players can see your username and any content you choose to post (courses, comments, star ratings, podium times and scores, replays, and your followers/following list). The gear you are wearing shows on your skier in your replays and best runs.
Nobody can see your Google ID, random key, ticket balance, bug reports, or the reason for a ban or mute (only the person it applies to sees that). If you buy the Jabronis Pass, your username is listed in the in-game credits and appears in orange on your profile, comments, and high scores.
Why We Use Your Data
- To operate Course World, Film Shack, podiums, and the follow system so other players can ski your courses or watch your replays.
- To unlock and track the tickets you have purchased.
- To keep the game safe by preventing spam, cheating, and impersonation, and to enforce our Terms, including removing posts and muting or banning usernames.
- To fix bugs you report, and to see which screens and actions lead up to a crash.
- To understand how the game is played (which runs people start, where they bail) so we can improve it. This is separate from the scores and courses you post on purpose.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who Handles Your Data
- Vercel hosts jabronis.app and stores game data in private cloud storage.
- Google provides Google Play services (downloads, payments, purchase verification) and Google Sign-In. The Play build also sends usage stats to Google Analytics for Firebase and crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics, as described above. Google also collects crash and performance data via Google Play Vitals under its own terms. Pages on jabronis.app load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when you open them. The game and the website do not use any other analytics or crash reporter.
All web traffic between the game, the website, and our servers is secured using HTTPS.
Data Retention
Your data is kept until you choose to delete it. When you delete your account or a specific post, it disappears from the game and website immediately, and is permanently erased from our servers 30 days later. The 30-day window allows us to recover accidental deletions.
Bug reports are kept for 90 days, and we store at most the 80 newest. Deleting your account hides yours immediately. Deletion requests are kept only until we have replied and carried out the request. Moderation records are kept for as long as the mute or ban lasts. Host logs are kept by our hosting provider for a brief period before being automatically deleted. Google Analytics events are kept for 14 months. Firebase Crashlytics reports are kept for 90 days. Deleting your Jabronis account does not delete those Google reports, because they are not tied to your username.
Deleting Your Data
- In the game: Go to Profile > Delete account.
- Without the game: If you no longer have the app installed, use the form at jabronis.app/delete. Step-by-step instructions and a detailed list of what is removed can be found on that page.
Children's Privacy
SSSx is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. Because players can freely type names and comments, we take this restriction seriously. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please email us, and we will delete it immediately.
Rules and Reporting
Posting content is governed by our Terms of Service. You can report a course, comment, or film directly from inside the game. Alternatively, you can email us to report anything illegal or to request the removal of a minor's data.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Any changes to the data we collect will also be reflected in our Google Play Data Safety form.
